December 2025

The stars are coming out for christmas!

When Year 1 had a visit from Santa!

The children enjoyed getting a special visit from Santa today and playing fun, festive games!

        Beegu

This half term we have been looking at the text Beegu written by Alexis Deacon. We have been exploring writing lots of different types of texts such as character descriptions, persuasive letters and ended with producing a Non-Chronological report. They did a great job sharing their work with the class and were really proud of what they achieved!

Science

This term in Science, we have been learning all about our five senses — taste, hearing, touch, smell, and sight. We took part in lots of fun experiments to test our senses and to discover how much we rely on them in our everyday lives. A class favourite was definitely the tasting experiment! We tried sweet, sour, salty, and bitter foods — and to everyone’s surprise, the class loved the taste of bitter dark chocolate the most!

Through our investigations, we learned how each of our senses helps us to explore and understand the world around us.
