When we arrived, there were lots of schools already there and after a bit of a wait, the marathon was ready to begin. Children from Oakmere, Little Heath, Cranborne, Pope Paul, St Giles and Wroxham joined us on the start line for the mad rush up the first straight. Lots of us soon realised that we were going to have to pace ourselves if we were going to get round the whole course. The marathon took us around Oakmere School and up and down lots of hills. It was definitely challenging.
Nevertheless, we all made it to the end (even Miss Webster) where a nice sit down and rest was needed. Well done to all the children for taking part and not giving up when it got tiring. Time to start training for next year now!
