Home Learning - Monday 23rd March 2020

Listen to this week's book, 'Big Red Bath', or ask someone to read it from Tapestry.

  • Before many of the animals enter the story, the reader is asked "Who's that (scratching; roaring; flapping etc.) at the door?" From the clue given, can you work out who is coming next?
  • Can you find all the animals from the story on the last page? Where are the flamingos?
  • See if you can join in with the phrase "Splash you, spalsh you, Splish! Splosh! Splash!".

This week we are learning that anything can be counted - even things we can't touch like sounds and actions. Today I am challenging you to play a game. All you have to do is roll a dice, choose an action (like hops; jumps; twirls; claps; star jumps; press-ups; toe-touches; stamps; nods; finger-clicks; even roly-polys if you have the room!) and complete the number of actions shown on the dice. You could do all the actions yourself, or you can take turns with other members of your family.

If you don't have a dice at home, here is an online version that you can use on a computer, tablet or phone.

You can download and print tasks for Monday 23rd March.
