Today it has rained, it has rained and then it has rained some more!  Despite this, we (well the children) caught an amazing amount of crabs and they were very impressed with their haul.  According to tradition, they were all named with imaginative names like Dave, Geoffrey and Barney.  Whilst crabbing, small groups of children went off for the boat ride of their lives, speeding across the water at ridiculous speeds.  This was deemed awesome by many of the children.

After a break for lunch and to dry off, one half went off for their coastal walk whilst the others set about tackling the abseil and climbing tower.  At this point, I have to say how impressed I have been with all your children.  As the rain continued to fall, not once did the children complain or moan about being wet or cold.  On the contrary they continued to support each other, cheer each other on and impress the instructors.  A very proud moment.

This evening we have been pedal carting.  Four teams racing around  a course trying to avoid obstacles and each other.  It was a real insight into their driving skills for the future and whilst some children excelled, others made me slightly worried at being on the roads in 6 years’ time when these children will have licences.

Finally the children have a chance to dry out properly and get warm.  We are now praying to the sun gods that we get dry weather tomorrow but it is not looking good.  Sorry there have been very few pictures, but for some reasons the images will not compress so they are small enough to be uploaded to the website.  Don’t worry there will be plenty of photos for you to see when the children return.

Apologies for this not being posted last night.  Due to the weather there was no internet connection at all.  Hopefully tonight will be better.  At least for now it is not raining!!!
