On Wednesday 5th November, Year 6 had the pleasure of learning about one of Shakespeare’s many tragedies, Macbeth. Paul, from the Young Shakespeare Company, ran a brilliant workshop which enabled the children to get directly involved with the play. Some of the children became characters from the play, whilst others helped to create the atmosphere.
This was a great introduction to Shakespeare, especially for those children who have not read any of his work before. This work was later reinforced when we visited the Wyllyotts Theatre in Potters Bar on the 12th November to watch a performance of this play. The children were all excellently behaved and could follow the play successfully.
