On Tuesday 7th June, Year 4 pupils visited the Potters Bar Tennis Club to try out their skills on full-sized courts. This is the third year we have used the courts at the club and we are very grateful to the committee for allowing us to share their facitlities. 

This was the last session of the racquet skills unit which the children had started before half term. We started with ball control activities practising keepy uppies and bounce and catch , before trying to feed the ball to our partners, who would try and return on target. This went surprisingly smoothly - Mrs Dowdall didn't have to shout 'Duck!' at all.

It was a beautiful day for our visit, with some of the chidlren showing a natural aptitude for the game. We played in rotation and the chidlren thoroughly enjoyed their morning, as you can see from the photographs below.
