The children in Year 2 have been very busy during half term. Their challenge was to learn what they could about space travel and space exploration. They could then present their work in whatever way they chose.

They have been bringing in their challenges and creating an amazing display. Some children have already shown their models, stories or powerpoints to the rest of the class. Others are still waiting for their turn to come. We have been so excited by all the different things we've seen. Some children made lego rockets or moon buggies, others made virtual rockets using minecraft! Phoebe showed us her wonderful scientific experiment to launch a rocket using fizzy tablets for fuel. She showed us the results on a video clip that she included in her powerpoint presentation.

The most unusual and by far the tastiest work came from Shivani who made a rocket shaped sponge cake.

Take a look at some of our work and be amazed by our creativity.
