English- There is a lovely BBC programme from Christmas day of Julia Donaldson and how she wrote The Gruffalo. We thought it would great to watch, so the children can understand a little bit more about the story and the author. We will follow up with some more work on this tomorrow.

R.E.-  This terms R.E. topic is all about what prayer, worship and reflection mean to a religious community. We will also try to learn what it means to be still and calm.

This week we will be watching a video clip about how Muslims pray, and designing a prayer mat. Twelve-year-old Kaisan demonstrates the Muslim prayer ritual which is performed five times a day in this clip from a series exploring young people and faith.

Look at the powerpoint and design and colour a prayer mat.

Maths-  For maths today you are having a rest from the videos and will need to put your maths skills to work! You need to answer a set of addition and subtraction questions and break the code to find the planets.

English: This week we will be looking at the book “The Gruffalo’s Child’. Since Mrs Radmall is still in the woods looking for the Gruffalo I decided to put all my layers on and go into the snow storm and look for the Gruffalo’s child!. Hope you enjoy the story!
