One very wet morning, the children of Nursery and Reception went outside to explore the weather. We also learned which of our coats were waterproof!

The Foundation Stage Christmas Show was a great success and the nursery children did a fabulous job of acting out the nativity while the Reception children took the parts of angels and narrators. Their singing was beautiful and they did such a good job of remembering all words to the many songs.

This term the Foundation Stage are the 'Ladbrooke Explorers'. In true explorer style, we put on our wellies and set out on an expedition to the local woods. The leaves were falling all around us and it was great fun to kick them up. There were so many colours and some leaves were so beautiful that we couldn't resist taking them back to the classroom along with lots of sticks, moss and acorns.

In our Autumn term the Nursery children became explorers and worked on discovering more about their environment.

November 2014

On Wednesday 12th November the Nursery children made some Pudsey Bear Cinnamon Biscuits. On Thursday 13th November all the children iced 2 of the Pudsey Bear Cinnamon Biscuits. Then , and here is the children’s favourite part, on Friday 14th November they brought in some money for Children in Need in exchange for one of the Iced Pudsey bear Biscuits!

The children said that they enjoyed making, icing and paying some money so that they could help the children who were not as lucky as they were. They also liked coming in dressed as Super Heroes or wearing Onesies!
