On the morning of the carnival, Mrs Petrou set up the art exhibition and admired the range of work created by the children. If you did not get a chance to see it, we will be recreating it in the entrance area of the school very soon. We were delighted to discover at the end of the day that the VIPs had voted our school the winners of the art exhibition along with Oakmere School and we were awarded a £15 Amazon voucher.

The children joining the walking float this year met at the Mount Grace entrance early in the afternoon and began the long walk to Elm Court. We had a huge plane as a centrepiece for our float, curtesy of Mr Goh and music was provided by Luca and Max playing the trumpet all the way around. A big well done to Luke, Shivani, Shivam and Julianna who held the banner the whole way with smiles on their faces even though their arms were aching. We were also asked to collect donations along the way and Eden and Unal rose to the challenge running up to lots of spectators and raising lots of money. All their efforts were rewarded with second place in the walking float competition. Well done and thank you to the FOLS Carnival team for organising the walking float again.

Finally would like to send a very special thank you to Mrs Geekie who, once again, set up her cake stall. As I am sure you will all know, her cakes are delicious and flew off the stand very quickly raising even more money for our school. We really appreciate all your efforts.

All in all, a fun day was had by all and we are already looking forward to next year.
