With rain dampening the morning, the decision was made to set up inside but this did nothing to stop the enthusiasm and the dedication of the children and volunteers who got everything set up in record time. The whole school was awash with outside stall holders selling fabulous gifts and year group stalls tempting children and parents to part with their hard earned cash. Year 6 ran the jam jar games, tempting their peers to try and win small treats, Y5 ran the welly wanging – well done to Ahmed in Y5 and Mr Barnett for their expert welly wanging! In Y4, you could try the bean bag toss or try your hand at a spot of Nerf gun shooting. Y3 played their cards right and Y1/2 joined forces in their version of I'm a schoolchild – get me out of here! In reception, the aim was to get a 50p coin to land on a picture of a 50p when dropping it through water – not as easy as it sounds! Finally nursery manned the craft stall where bird feeders could be made and sand art constructed.

The whole day was completed by the final of Ladbrooke's Got Talent. All of the finalists were superb and made it a fantastic event. Eventually, the winners were announced – congratulations to Aadi in Y4 who sang Show Me Heaven and Phoebe, Julianna, Sophie, Lena and Luke in Y2 who sang and danced to It's The Hard-Knock Life.

What an amazing day, we are still awaiting how much money we have raised but I am sure we will know very soon. There are so many people I need to thank for all their hard work, too many to name individually but I am sure you know who you are and I hope you realise how much all your hard work is appreciated. One person I do have to single out though is Michelle who works tirelessly coordinating everyone and ensuring all our fairs go off smoothly. Thank you Michelle, you are a star!
