Monday 29th – Friday 3rd July 2020

Hello Year 6. I hope those of you coming into school are getting used to it now and the shock has worn off! We had some beautiful weather last week so was able to get outside lots and enjoy the fresh air. Long may it continue!

Those children staying at home, please remember to write your memories of Ladbrooke into a short paragraph or a poem. This will then be used in our Leaver’s video that we are hoping to produce. The idea is that you are filmed, at home (landscape orientation please), catching a scrunched up piece of paper from the left, opening it up and reading your memory, then scrunching it up again and throwing it off in the opposite direction (to the right). It will seem like it is being thrown to each person in the class. Please attach and email, either myself or the school, your videos as soon as you can.

This week we will be working on our Year Book Tasks. This is the book that you will receive when you leave Ladbrooke. Please complete each task and email it back asap for it to be included in the book:

Please find year book tasks below. Click on each link to find out more:

Future jobs - Here you will find a list of your peers. What job do you think they will have in the future: teacher, vet, nurse, doctor, hairdresser, dancer, author, painter, police officer…

Words to describe others in the class - Here you will find another list of the names of your peers. This time, I would like you to think very carefully about one (kind) word you would use to describe each person: brave, hardworking, academic, friendly, happy, loud, quiet, shy, funny, serious, clever…

About me – For this activity, I just want you to write about yourself.

                For your information:

Art – Fingerprint Art. Last week we looked closely at our fingerprints. This week we are taking our fingerprints and creating some art from them.
