Friday 17th July

Well done year 3. You have made it! Your final day of home learning and the start of the summer holidays! I want to say a big thank you to you and to your parents for working so hard at home.

Miss Hafeez and I also want to say a very big thank you for the thoughful gifts. They are beautiful and very unexpected. It has been such a different year to the one that we were expecting and this year group will always be very special to us both. I hope that you all have a relaxing break and I am looking forward to seeing you back in school in September where things should be a little more normal. Keep checking this page because I know that Mrs Dowdall is hoping to post a message to you all.

Keep reading in the holidays and keep going on TT Rockstars. If there are any problems with your account or you want to change the tables that you are working on (or if you just want to say hi) send me an email.

Thank you again. You are all fantastic!

Oh yes, I almost forgot! Today's home learning task is to do something that you enjoy!

Thursday 16th July

Only one more day to go year 3! You are doing brilliantly! Did you manage to do some tidying up on Monday? I am proud to say that I managed to sort out under my desk! I hope that you were just as succesful! Your task today is to ask a grown up at home what you can do to help them out.

If you would like something else to do, in school we have been designing our own theme park. Start by thinking of a theme and a name. Then design your own logo and think about the rides and attractions that you would like to include. We are going to draw a map of our theme park today.

I hope that you all have a good day.

Wednesday 15th July

Hello year 3! It was so lovely to see lots of you yesterday morning. I have missed you all so much and it was great to hear about some of the things that you have been doing. I was going to set Maths and English for today and then I thought about how hard you have all worked and so today's home learning is to watch a film. Once you have watched it, you could talk to someone about what happened and see if you can summarise the main points of the story. Happy watching!

Tuesday 14th July

A very quick hello this morning as I hope to see lots of you on the school field later today.

10.45 - 11.45. Bring yourselves, your smiles and maybe a carrier bag to take some of your books home.

See you soon!

Monday 13th July

Hello year 3. You have made it to the final week of homeschooling!

I will continue to set Maths and English work this week (but not for Tuesday because hopefully I will get to see some of you on the school field).

Today's maths carries on from last week and the lesson can be found below:

https://classroom.thenational.academy/lessons/use-known-multiplication-facts-to-derive-our-8-times-table

If you have any extra time, you can always practise your multiplication facts on TT Rockstars.

For English, we are also going to finish the lessons from last week:

This week, I am also going to set an end of term task. If we were in school, there would be lots of sorting out happening and usually the first thing that we sort out is our trays. Therefore today's task is to tidy an area that you use a lot. It may be your desk where you have been doing your homeschooling or an area in your bedroom. In school, I am going to be brave and sort out under my desk - wish me luck!
